Biography

Artists and their „about“ pages can be awfully self-centered and long – too long to read if you’re just passing by. It is likely that mine is aswell!

Most of the time, a multi-million dollar business jet is my model.

I do not photograph politicians, celebrities or models. I work with their means of transportation. A Gulfstream has plenty of curves aswell and most probably complains less on the set anyway.

Business Aviation is not something you choose for the fame or the spotlight.

It is something you get drawn into, and I did – that is why I do it, and that is why I am good at it.

I hold FAA and JAA commercial pilot licenses, am multi-engine and instrument rated and… am a commercial photographer, loving to depict the beauty of aviation  in unique, artistic ways.

For my clients, aircraft are their source of income.

That is why they need to be depicted in the best possible way. They are tools that need to be operated in a reliable and efficient manner. For many – of course – they are also a symbol of wealth, power, and status. They probably earned it.

I am based in Innsbruck, Austria, and frequently shoot at Innsbruck Airport and Samedan - St.Moritz Airport, two challenging alpine airfields with gorgeous backdrops. I get to shoot a great number of business jets over the year with some   of the most amazing sceneries you can possibly get.

I try to use natural light whenever possible, and help to get the most out of it by using additional filters, gels and flashes.
